12 months Retrofit Academy Membership included with this course.
Become a TrustMark Accredited Retrofit Assessor
This is your opportunity to become a TrustMark accredited Retrofit Assessor – even if you have no prior experience.
Retrofit Assessors carry out home surveys that provide all the data that Retrofit Coordinators and Designers need in order to build the right retrofit plan for the resident and the property.
The programme includes the two courses that you will need to become a fully-fledged Retrofit Assessor.
You will first study towards the Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) qualification. You will learn how to assess the energy efficiency of a residential property and to issue Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).
Once you have completed this course, you will move on to the Level 4 Retrofit Assessor qualification. This will help you to understand retrofit and the process of conducting a Retrofit Assessment, using the best practice method outlined in the upcoming British Standard BS 40104.
Those enrolling on to this course will have five months to complete it. It is a substantial undertaking and applicants must commit to completing both courses.
Included with your course:
- PAS 2035 Compliant Training
- Expert support from experienced Skills Coaches
- Support into practice — 12 months Professional Membership included
- Marking within 10 working days
- Access to jobs and employers
- TrustMark accreditation included
- Become a certified Retrofit Assessor

About this funding
Funding for this course is provided by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DfESNZ) via the Midlands Net Zero Hub. The funding is through the Warm Homes Skills Programme, which supports the government’s Warm Homes Programme. Through the Warm Homes Programme, the government supports social landlords and local authorities to deliver large-scale retrofit programmes. The funding will cover all but £500 plus VAT of the course cost, saving almost £2000. However, you must comply with the funding scheme rules and complete within the timescales. Failure to do so may result in being withdrawn from the course or having to cover the funding shortfall.
